Difficulty has no correlation to success. So why try to plow a new path when the road has been cleared by many before you? There is nothing wrong with imitation. It is a part of our nature. And there is nothing wrong with coming to terms with the fact that there is no such thing as a new idea. Those who walk the same road tell different tales.
Find your snowplows and learn from their slips and successes. Let them clear the way and follow along. It will still be slippery and you will still drive your own course, but at least the journey will be smoother and safer.
And if the road doesn’t suit, choose another. Many roads run to the same destination. But remember if a road has never been plowed, chances are it is because it is not worth plowing.
