True craftsmen are scarce and worth their weight in gold. They develop the skills, learn the tools and put in the hours. They learn the ropes and fibres, and abstain from shortcuts. They consider themselves to always be learning and always be refining.
Eventually they make themselves so rare that customers are prepared to queue. In essence, they become the referee of their own game.
